Brookhaven

Brookhaven

Lay of the land

The City of Brookhaven was incorporated in 2012 after a long campaign for cityhood. Geographically it sits just north of Buckhead, straddling Peachtree Road from the perimeter (I-285) southward.

The housing stock is a mix: mid-century ranches and split-levels on quiet streets in the older sections, plus a lot of recent new construction. Town Brookhaven, the mixed-use development at Peachtree and Brookhaven Ave, anchors the commercial core with restaurants, a Costco, and Studio Movie Grill.

Schools are a draw. Brookhaven feeds into Chamblee Charter High, one of the top-rated public high schools in metro Atlanta. The Brookhaven MARTA station gives access to Buckhead, Midtown, and downtown without a car. Property taxes are higher than Atlanta city proper but municipal services (police, parks, streets) are noticeably better-funded.

This is the most family-oriented neighborhood we work in. Lots of strollers, lots of school traffic, lots of organized weekend life.

Let's walk it together.

The best way to feel a neighborhood is on foot. We do this regularly with clients: coffee somewhere local, then we pick a route based on what you're looking for. No pressure, no listing required.
