Candler Park sits five minutes east of downtown, bordering Little Five Points to the south, Inman Park to the west, Druid Hills to the east, and Lake Claire to the northeast. The neighborhood is named for Coca-Cola heir Asa Griggs Candler, who donated the 55-acre park at its center in 1922.

The housing stock is mostly 1910s and 1920s craftsman bungalows, with a handful of larger Tudor and Colonial Revivals at the northern edge. The neighborhood gentrified hard in the 1990s and 2000s and prices have held among the strongest intown values per square foot.

The park itself includes a public 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a community-run organic garden. The annual Candler Park Music + Food Festival is a fixture every Memorial Day weekend. McLendon Avenue runs east from the park into Lake Claire, with a small commercial strip at the corner of McLendon and Oakdale.

The Beltline Eastside Trail crosses the southern edge of the neighborhood, with PATH connections to Piedmont Park. The Edgewood/Candler Park MARTA station gives downtown access without a car.
