Reynoldstown
Just east of historic Cabbagetown and south of Inman Park lies the Intown Atlanta neighborhood of Reynoldstown. Named for Madison Reynolds, a prominent and successful landowner in the area, the neighborhood has become a prime location for young families, single professionals, artists and students wanting a highly walkable neighborhood central to all Atlanta has to offer. With the Atlanta Beltline now running through it, Reynoldstown is a neighborhood with an urban vibe within an historic setting.
Founded around the turn of the 20th century, Reynoldstown features an array of homes built closely together with smaller yards. This design is what attracts residents to the area, and is what makes community an important part of their daily life. In fact, community is the theme of Reynoldstown’s annual Wheelbarrow Fest, which takes place every September. Featuring music, food, art and family activities, the festival celebrates all of the work Reynoldstown residents have done together throughout the year to make their neighborhood great.
Reynoldstown is the home of a variety of unique eateries and bars including: ParkGrounds, a coffee shop, bar and dog park all in one; Home Grown, a restaurant with a menu that changes regularly based on ingredients supplied by local farmers; and H. Harper Station, a modern bar and restaurant located in the historic Atlanta & West Point rail station. It is also the home of the popular dooGallery, located directly on the Beltline in an eclectic art warehouse and hosts a variety of shows and fundraisers throughout the year. With the Atlanta Beltline now running through the neighborhood, Reynoldstown residents have access to every intown Atlanta neighborhood the beltline currently serves. That’s a lot of shopping, dining, outdoor events and activities, and people watching. When the Beltline is complete it will connect a total of 45 Atlanta neighborhoods.
The homes in Reynoldstown range from early-20th century bungalows and shotgun houses to 21st century ultramodern architectural homes, lofts, townhouses and condos. There are home styles, sizes and designs for every personal taste
